some label scan's for the first LP

Hey folks ! an introduction to Hidden Charms Records

This is the Blog site for Hidden Charms Records. A bunch of friends have brainwashed me into doing something on the internet (after refusing to use Myspace, Facebook or the other similar sites). But out of all these nonsense sites out there I guess I like this Blog stuff the best. So here we go!

Hidden Charms Records is a vinyl label dedicated to releasing old 78 rpm recordings from the 1920's and 30's. The goal is to release as many discs with old 78s by Blues, Hot Jazz, Hillbilly String Bands, Jug Bands, Ethnic music, Ragtime and many related styles.

The first record is the LP "EVERY DAY IN THE WEEK" a 14 track comp featuring many African-American music styles from the 1928-1933 time period. All were transferred directly from clean and sometimes very rare original 78s. The LP has a great large size 12 page booklet with rare photographs and amazing new research and liner notes by Paramount records expert and Blues researcher Alex Van Der Tuuk.

On this Blog I will post info about the LPs Hidden Charms will release and as a bonus I will post B-sides, additional info, photo’s, 78 label shots and other old 78 recordings and maybe much more.....we'll see where this goes.
